Roadtrip in the west -any suggestions?

    We are hoping to go on a roadtrip for Paddys day... any suggestions for small lively little towns (that havn't closed up for Winter) within 2 hours of Galway? Except Westport; Ennis or Athlone....been there done that!

    Castlebar is good for Paddy's lots of good pubs and good atmosphere generally!!!

    Not sure if it's within 2 hours of Galway but Kilkee in Co. Clare is really really nice.
