Quoted €3.5k total for my architect to find a (decent) contractor, put together the contract, do the sign-off on the build and a BER cert.

    Is this good value?

Thanks SB, thought it was, he did the plans and said it was a good rate because of that.

The bulk of the work is in putting together the tender package, getting tenders out the good contractors and administering the contract. depending on the size of the job for that level of service it sounds quite reasonable.

i would check the contractor hes getting and get other quotes outside his contractor quotes - you find you could save some money - but make sure and builder you get is recommended and going see his work
