I noticed my three year old cat was rubbing his bum along the ground after using her litter tray this morning, i have never seen her do this before! Also she was crying a little as she was doing it. Any ideas why?

She has impacted anal glands. Take her to the vet to get them squeezed.

 Not that it makes any differance if it is a his or her, take it to a vet to get checked out.

Could need a good worm tab.

I'd agree with MAJD anal glands.

I've seen cats with rings the size of a 50c piece from these.

should be only around the size of your little finger nail.
