First Choice are one of the better ones to work for and they seem to be still recruiting:

However, be aware, this is extreamly hard work. Very long hours and then you are expected to go out with the guests at night on pub crawls or get involved with entertainment. The money is awful and you have to rely on commission from selling day trips to guests.

    Best of luck!

I'll second what litup has said , it's a great thing to do but is not the fun it initally seems. On the negative side the days are long and the money is pretty much pocket money to keep you going.

If you've no ties , no debts to pay and fancy hard but rewarding work then give it a go. You'll get huge life experience and will handle situations you never thought you could, you'll have to be good at dealing with people and know how to handle situations with extreme diplomacy.

I'd recommend it to anyone but make sure 12 hour days 6 days a week and no prospect of getting home during the summer (for your first summer at least) don't bother you.

In terms of employers, most of the Irish operators are now UK owned so I'd suggest having a look at the UK sites, it might mean paying for a Ryanair ticket over to do their assesment day but if it's something your set on doing it might be a good option. Companies in the UK are Olympic Holidays ( Greek destinations and Cyprus ) , Tui First Choice , Thomson , Balkan for Bulgaria etc.. There's loads of them .

    Have a look at http://www.holidayrepticket.co.uk/ ,

I worked for a summer a couple of years ago as a courier on a campsite which is basically a rep but ya clean too. I have to say it was one of the best things i ever did!!!! I loved it and am currently looking into being a rep in a resort. It is very long hours and you will be run off your feet but everyone youll be working with is in the same position so you all just pull together. The only things is it can be difficult to find a job for 3-4 months if thats what you are looking for as many of the companys want at least a 6 month commitment.

The other problem is many of the UK companys (and its hard to find ones that arent) want you to have a permenant Uk address, bank account and National insurance number. I have a UK national insurance number but does anyone know any companys who dont require the UK address and Bank account?? If so please let me know coz I really want to do this!!!
