hello folks, I wonder if some people could point me in the direction of a recording device. Essentially what I'm looking for is to record some tunes and put them on CD's. I would like to add in a few backing tracks such as keyboards, drums, and a mic. Whats the best way to go about this? Thanks, R2R

I don't use any recording devices and my songs are very clear.
Just put my mic and guitar into the laptop and record off that.
I use a program called FL Studio which is great for mixing songs and arranging them, it lets you use lots of different instruments too.

Get a USB Interface for your computer, and some half decent software - you can download plenty. Get an interface with 'phantom power' because if you start to get serious it's handy to have for proper mics.
