Thank christ the wait is almost over. Headingley pitch passed its inspection at 11 am this morn...tonight's clash between the Rhinos and the Super Leagues's Welsh newcomers Celtic Crusaders is definitely on.

I'm rooting out me thermals for tonight, meanwhile for those of you not lucky enough to be heading to Headingley :D Sky will be showing the game at 20:00.

We'll be missing Rob Burrows, Greg Eastwood still hasn't got his papers and Buderus is still struggling for fitness, but it promises to be a cracking game with the Welsh outfit wanting to set a few of the doomsayers straight...

    Leeds Rhinos

Donald, Smith, Senior, Hall, McGuire, Leuluai, Peacock, Jones-Buchanan, Lauitiiti, Sinfield, Diskin, Kirke, Ablett, Burgess, Gibson, Allan, Watkins, Mcshane, Manning.

    Celtic Crusaders

Duggan, Dyer, Hannay, Dalle Cort, Blackwood, Quinn, Van Dijk, O'Hara, Bryant, Peek, Mapp, Chalk, Smith, Lupton, Flower, J. James, Tangata-Toa, Beasley, Budworth.

Just in from the game. relatively comfortable leeds victory. Although the crusaders showed enough in the second to suggest that they'll trouble the Castlefords, Salfords and Warringtons of the world. Bloody freezing, minus 4, but 14,000 turned out, good enjoyable game...Senior had a cracker as did leuluai, ablett and Smith.....nice start to the season....

Sounded like a great atmosphere at the match. The pitch looked hard as a rock. Are you a season ticket holder Toomevara?

Am indeed a season ticket holder amacachi....was an excellent atmosphere this eve, but then again headingley (although they had to close the western terrace due to ice!)is an excellent stadium, always think its a brilliant mix of the old school and the new and the faithful are a pretty voiciferous bunch, especially after a couple of pints of tetleys and a pie or two! Can't recommend it enough!

Hoping to get over for the Magic weekend this year. None of my mates are into League so I'm probably gonna end up with a bored woman beside me for 7 matches :P Are tickets easy enough to come by during the season in Leeds?

I noticed the band playing the Darts theme tune, two of my favorite sports mixed wonderfully :P

You might struggle for games like saints, bradford, wigan...but for other games,no problem...Hull KR is usually an excellent game largely because the pride of East hull have some of the best travelling support in the game....give things a great atmosphere....You can buy online at www.leedsrugby.com
