Does anyone know when it is open? Also is it skate only or are bmxers and mountain bikers allowed in?

    Cheers

Why no love for the big wheels? Any idea on opening times?

Ah would get away out of that, i'm in there on my MTB all the time, it says no MTBs but no one enforces that rule, and no one cars.
You get a fair few in there on the big wheeles.
Plents of BMXs and boards aswell of course.

These days its open at 12 and closes at four, not sure when its open later, but during the summer it stays open too 9:30.

All the opening hours are on the inner gate, drop down one of the days and check it out.
You'l have to be there before it closes though because there is one gate around it and then a second gate within that one, that sorounds the actual skatepark, i have no idea why...

Good park, good lads down there, friendly people like.

Cool cheers for that Cian. I'll head down someday when it won't be full of snow/ice.

They've actually changed the closing times to half an hour earlier than whats posted on the sign. And the last I heard it wasn't open at all. People climbed in and then got kicked out by the gardai even though it should have been open.

People have been sneeking in since before it opened, years ago like.
I'd say any reason it hasn't been open lately is the frost/snow/ice.
In a concrete park that stuff is deadly dangerous.

Please the wardens haven't got a clue whats dangerous to the users and whats not. They closed the park before because there was a puddle in the bowl. I guess they never thought that people might just want to skate the street obstacles...

Its rediculous and was closed before the snow started falling.

Bushy is deffo back open, i was in there yesterday.
There was a few holes patch up in the fences, so i'd say it was shut for a while due to people cocking about and breaking in.

Nice read, thanks for posting it.

True the residents have never liked the Skatepark being there, but its just a small minority that act the magget in there.
I think, if they try to hit us with a pottition, wh don't we do the same?
Set up something, have sheets to sign in the skateshops in dublin and the sorounding areas, or would this be any use?

If they get it closed, i think i'll just skate on the road and bring a radio with me, when they ask what i'm doing, i'll tell them they got my park closed and i have no where else to skate.

if only it was like lucan... sound out they are there the guy from the council that runs it is cool, lets you hop over the fence and one of the days he even cleared all the puddles out for us

That sounds like a great spot.
I haven't gotten out to it yet.

yeah thats true about lucan it is very chilled towards things like hoppin the fence. but that sort of freedom shouldnt be abused ie. dont be goin there gettin locked nd actin the maggot just just because they turn a blind eye to hoppin the fence . its like the oul sayin given an inch take a mile
