The "0" button has stopped working on our Sky remote. Its becoming a pain having to go to channel 111 and 411 etc and come back down to get the one I want. Is there a way to fix the button or do I have to get a new remote?

Save the channels you usually watch under your favourites, then when you press the blue button you will cycle through them, then hit select to choose the one you want.

It's a good idea to do this anyway...

I disassembled my 5 yr old SKY+ remote because the "up" button wasn't working and several others were difficult to use. I needed a T6 screwdriver to open it (it's a star shape). Your remote may be different though. One of the screws on mine was under the infra-red transmitter cover at the top of the remote. The contact pads (where the buttons are) were covered in a sticky gunge where stuff had been spilled into it. I cleaned the button membrane and circuit board with meths and it's now working fine:)
If you don't feel up to disassembly work you can buy replacements in Woodies or Power City or similar stores.

If you're after a new remote can i recommend an ebay shop called skymadesimple. I've had to get a new sky+ remote. Some of the shops are charging anywhere between 25-35 euros. I got it for €13 + €4 shipping. Also had to get 2 HD remotes & eye links for the father. Totalled €40 + €5 shipping. All genuine & received within 4 days of ordering - if you can wait.......
