Can anyone tell me how many people have been prosecuted and sentenced under the Education Welfare Act 2000?

I am trying to find out how many parents would have been prosecuted and or sentenced but I cant find the information.

    Is it even available?

    And why not exactly?

Its in education and boards.ie is a tool to use to get answers on legal and other matters.

Perhaps you could have included directions to the correct forum along with your enlightening response.

Is this how you increase your standing on Boards.ie by posting random things to questions you cant answer?

Actually boards isn't to be used for legal advice, but hypothetical "what if?" scenarios are ok as far as I know. There's a legal discussion forum, would you like me to move your post there?

To echo Piste Boards is not here for Legal advice.

I dont know where exactly you could post it, most likely in the Teaching and Lecturing Fourm, this is after all a Junior Cert forum, most of the posters being (Guess what!) Junior Cert Students. Pointing out things that are relatively obvious is clearly entertaining to me.............

Well it would obviously entertain a 13 year old wouldn't it. Im new to boards.ie as you can see from my 3 posts buddy, anyone with a little decency would have pointed me in the right direction instead of just pointing.

Anyway, as this was only one of many routes I took to get the information I have answered the question elsewhere so I will not need re-posting Piste thank you.

I was looking for an answer on a legal question, not advice, answers are statements of fact backed up with information, advice is someones interpertation of a solution to an issue.

Thank you both, its been a pleasure.
