Badminton .ie Forum

    Anyone else out there ever use this. It seems as though the Badminton Union have taken down this facility from their website, after a debate they didn't like.

    Personally I am disappointed with this, as it was a great source of information and as a club chairman, I was able to find a club coach for example.
    I was also able to get in contact with two people that I never could have without it, in the hope that we could put together a badminton exhibition, to help promote the game.

    I know that another sport, Pitch & Putt, did the same thing and some very interested members set up their own forum, which is absolutely thriving. It is debating all issues for the good of the game and perhaps by not being under the control of their governing body, are finding that more and more players are not afraid to speak out.

    I noticed that too. Have you contacted them to see why they took it down or if they will reinstate it?

    It looks like it is completely gone from the website now, so it looks like it will be that way for the foreseeable future.
    It's a pity about this development as I think it is a great facility on any site of it's nature, even just to be able to get the feedback of the grassroots of any game.
