Just wondering has anyone seen this movie.

Saw it today. Thought it was very good. Frank Langella who played Nixon was excellent, so much so, he made me feel sorry for him when the 4th interview finished. The way the camera was on his face captured the moment very well.

Michael Sheen as Frost was grand but would have been cheaper to just get David Frost himself cos Michael Sheen just sounded exactly the same as him.

One thing is, at the start when Frost is woken up in the middle of the night by Nixon agent, there was a woman in the bed with him. Was she his wife as no mention was made of her throughout the film especailly when he went off with the other woman.

Very good. Langella should get best male actor in oscar. Much better then Mickey Rourke

Enjoyed it myself - whatever about over-exaggerating the importance of the interviews, it makes for compelling entertainment. As said the two leads are great, with good support too (any film automatically wins for hiring Sam Rockwell!). It is relatively light but competently made, and the whole thing emerges as a great battle between two interesting personalities, and is far more entertaining than many blockbusters.

As far as your query goes, Frost was pointed out to be a notorious womaniser on a number of occasions, so tbh wouldn't be surprised if it was just some random conquest of his.

Decent watch but was expecting a little bit more. I haven't seen the actual interviews that took place back then but I'll probably check them out now. Langella put in an excellent performance which should see him pick up the award. Overall, 7/10.

There's a big drop in the quality of films released this year than the ones released last year (There Will Be Blood etc).

It ain't one of the best films of the year, that's for sure. It's entertaining, but little more. Interesting performances aside, it's not up to much.

I would agree in that it isnt one of the best films of the year but it would in the top ten somewhere, mainly due to the performances, especially Langella&the tense 4th interview that was very well done.

The part where Nixon rang Frost in the middle of the night dragged the film for me for a while. Found out after seeing it that the writer of the film&the play it was based on made this scene up. To me it slowed things down.

Could say it was a return to form for Ron Howard, the director, after making that crap film, Da Vinci Code, which itself was based on a bad book.

Sam Rockwell is a very good actor. He is in Choke that came out last year which is a good film.

Frank Langella for best actor oscar. Then again I have yet to see Mike, Button or that Visitor film.

The Visitor is a bit meh. Great performance from Richard Jenkins but it's way too preachy for my liking.

It was a good watch I must say.
Even as a history lesson if nothing else.

Enjoyed the film but it assumed the viewers already knew everything about watergate. I was actually hoping to learn something about it, which I didn't get other than there was a break in and a cover up. Or maybe I missed that bit?

True would agree with you on that. However it didnt spoil my enjoyment of the film. Ended up asking my flatmate about Watergate so at least it got me interested in finding out about the background to the interviews. The purpose behind the movie were the interviews and the lead up to them, not really to do with what went on before such.
