Overtime

    Hi,

    Looking for some advice.. I have been earning around 20K on overtime every year for the last eight years at work. I work on call 24*7 so that makes up for a lot of the overtime. There is talk the manager is going to approach me to get rid of overtime but still expect me to do on call. Is there some law to say once I have been getting that amount of overtime over so many years that it becomes part of my salary. Somebody mentioned I would have to be compensated for losing my overtime or some places do some cushioning. Any help would be grateful.

    I would imagine that it goes by whatever your contract states but someone else will clarify
