I need to lease a car for the short term does anyone know of any garages that do this?

Possibly any dealers with excess capacity and looking to earn some cashflow?

I'd start with car hire firms if I were you. Would you consider buying something cheap with a view to reselling it?

Yeah, i'd look at a long term rental from Enterprise or Merlin. Many dealers would be reluctant to do it, as there would be insurance issues, plus a contract would have to be drawn up to ensure any damage or excess mileage on the car would be covered - too much hassle for a dealer IMO.

I would second this, used to work for Enterprise for many a years and know they will do this sort of deal no problem for you and at not too bad rates...

Also companies such as this and other carhire places can provide insurance if you need, ( can be a bit pricey but worth checking out if your insurance company quoting you a lot)
