NTL Digital signal through RF out??

I had Sky in my bedroom and I had the digital signal coming out through the RF out into my tv on the wall. The decoder was hidden in the wardrobe and I had the magic eye thing to send the signal from the remote to the box. All fine.

Problem. I changed to Chorus/NTL and now through the same setup I can't tune in the digi box through RF out. The scart seems to only work, but that means having to create a shelf to fit it on under the TV on the wall.

Can anyone tell me why this might not be working on NTL and it did work on Sky?

Maybe the RF output on the NTL box is only a Loopout and doesn't actually have a modulator.

I'm moving this to cable forum, where I think it's more suitable.

    Scart to RF modulator

Converts Scart signal to a UHF freq, so you can run a co-ax to your tv

Dunno about all the boxes but the old Chorus Sagem ones and the UPC DVR don't have RF modulators like byte said - only RF loopthrough for analogue cable reception, another STB etc.

You do know RF output looks crap compared to RGB SCART? Could you not just get a longer SCART cable?
