    Hi

Have any of you tried those over the counter leaking gasket quick fix additives..such as ...k-seal, Super seal, novo stop, steel seal etc

Do they work?? or do they do more damage than good??

    Thx FP.

They are only a temporary solution - if you want the job done properly, you'll have to replace the gasket.

they do work for some time but you would need to get the head gasket fixed not so long after. you may look at it this way tho, is your "banger" worth more than getting the head gasket done?

Do you know for certain that the head gasket is gone?

Try it for a laugh and if it does work buy a second batch and keep it in the car with you for when the seal eventually gives and your 100 miles from your home!

I personally would not bother with it...Just annoying yourself. HG failure is the nastiest problem you can get with an engine. Been done and payed 100's to get it fixed and after you get it fixed the car never really runs 100% like it use to. My old Mazda 323 God Love it never ran properly after the repair, it ran quite choppy after it was done but at least it did not overheat and break my heart again!
