Neither. I'd just like a competent Taoiseach.

I don't know too much about it to comment, I can give you an answer based on what I read in the newspapers and what I am told by various people. Not the best of sources to tell you the truth.

At the moment, whoever is in Taoiseach's seat, whoever it is, is going to get the blame.

I'd take a bullet to Cowen.... if I was a courier and he'd ordered a bullet for some reason.

    Neither.

What's the point, someone else who is also clueless will just take his place.

I would. Feel bad for the poor chap. The whole world is fooked at the moment. No matter who was in his seat would have getting the blame. Anyways if I took the bullet i would be famous for 2 minutes. I could meet amanda brunker and rosanna davison and tell the two of them to shut up and die.

I don't think Cowen's that bad, except for the fact he looks like a fish.

Only if the bullet was 'magic'. Nyuk nyuk nyuk.

I'd take a bullet for him... straight from the box and into my gun.

I have no sympathy for the man who held the purse strings for as long as he did and now has to deal with the repercussions.

    Shooting Cowen is futile...
His many layers of flab act as a bullet proof vest. He's not human I tell ya!
Half man, half fish, 100% useless bastardd

Where's that bollox Bertie hiding more to the point, that fuc'ker should be put before a firing squad.
taking out Cowen is just like taking down a pawn. Wouldn't stop me though.

Of course it would be my pleasure , a privledge even for me ,an honourable citizen of this glorious land ,to lay down my life for AN Taoiseach ,……..our chief.
He’s a fine upstanding man , a beacon of freedom and democracy, common sense and manners .Also he’s rumoured to make a lovely cup of tea.

Cowen is about as useful as a one armed trapeze artist with an itchy arse.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,712 ✭✭✭neil_hosey

I actually like Cowen, I think he knows what needs to be done to fix the fook ups of the previous government and he's acting now. Atleast he has the balls to do it and take the stick for it.. thats why i like him.

He has to take a pay cut though.

Would i take a bullet for him?

maybe in the arm or something..

That might be true if prevarication in dealing with the nations' problems was a virtue, but it wasn't and if he'd started dealing with the downturn when it started rather than waiting till the s*** really hit the fan, then maybe the choices facing the country wouldn't have been as stark as they are now. When we needed decisiveness, Cowen was found wanting. Now when cuts of over €10bn are required, he's presided over a government thats spent weeks trying to get the unions to accept cuts totalling €2bn.

Or any of Irelands citizens for that matter?

    Would he ****.

Take a bullet for what? To save his face that looks like a melted welly? His brilliant planning and political skills at the forefront of the last ten years that has landed us in the biggest mess of all the European countries drving us backwards over 30 years through lack of planning while riding this magical gravy train that people thought they had created and were controlling? With "right time - right place" bertie at the wheel?

B0llox, I'd skin him and make him into pork chops to make a fortune to get through this recession.

He showed great balls after the budget when a bunch of pensioners exposed him as a fool and made him perform an embarrassing U-turn. Same thing will happen when the people keeping the country going end up striking! ;) bye bye FF government for many elections to come.
