I am just wondering would anyone know, I am thinking of upgrading from analogue to digital (getting the free digital recorder) what are the ouput connections at the back of the digital receiver/decoder? Is just the standard scart output or are there other types?

    Thanks :D

Just scart and usual. Phono and optical, I think. No HDMI or anything fancy.

Depends on the box. My Sagem has just 2 scarts and a digital aduio jack. Here is the manual: http://support.sagem-communication.com/site/livret/LU_UK_ITD64_62_61_60_58.pdf

Make sure to use a scart lead with full RGB as the supplied cable is composite only and the signal is crap.

    Unless you have
    EITHER
    HD on UPC (there isn't)
    OR
an HDTV with really rubbish RGB SCART upscalling

    THEN
HDMI has no value compared to RGB SCART for UPC Cable Digital, especially given the lower quality than Satellite.
    Composite SCART is much poorer
Component is identical quality to RGB.

It gets better :) See I have an AVR and was hoping I could plug the box directly into it, its HDMI from the AVR to the TV but the AVR don't have scart has it went out with the Indians. It has every other type of input though:pac:
