    Hi
I recently installed a masonry stovehttp://www.biofire.ie and have started running low on firewood. I live in the northwest and have started burning eco/heat logs to supplement the firewood. However, these heat logs are expensive :(and vary in quality from different suppliers.

Is there anyone out there who has a similar stove and what are they burning at the moment? I am looking for hardwood(eg. beech or similar) firewood which would have a moisture content at or below 20%. I would appreciate if anyone could also advise on delivery of bulk loads of this type of
    wood.

    Thanks

I have no experiance of this crowd so can't comment on how good or bad they are, http://www.irishbiofuels.ie/Seasoned_Hardwood_Logs.html

My own personal favorite is ash, as it burns very cleanly with a georgous flame, allbeit very quickly. Ash Ash up in a flash.
Oak can be very dense and need something lighter to get it going.

You could always try your local tree surgeon
or give ambrose (link below) a shout, he supplies ash, oak, beech.
    He's not me!!!!!

    Hi Baby builder ,
I think Seasoned ash is probably the best firewood , How is the biofire stove working out for you ? would you recommend these tile stoves , Are they more efficient then traditional solid fuel stoves .

Hi I would recommend a masonry stove to anyone who has a well insulated house and a certain amount of open living area. We light our stove once a day during the cold spell and sometimes every second day. Ours is not a tiled stove but has a white plastered finish, a few niches and a bench - I'll upload a few photos soon.

Btw, started burning wood briquettes and found these to be very good.
