I see Eirsoft have the MP5A4 for a mere 110 - any opinions? I know JG are pretty highly regarded, but how does it rate for performance out of the box, necessity of maintenance or upgrades, as well as the stock battery? (not bothered about charger as I have a smart one).

I can also get the CYMA Full Metal MP5A5 for the same price more or less, which would be a better purchase? In terms of internals, not really that bothered about ABS or Metal build.

The A4 looks better in my opinion plus you can't really go wrong with JG (although the quality of screws etc on my G36C is sh1t, though I'd assume it's pretty much a universal issue for lower end guns).

I just prefer the stock, I was thinking of getting the full metal cyma a4 and buying a stock seperately - would work out at only about 150. The JG full metal are around that price for the full metal w/stock, but they're the navy edition, I prefer the plain old a5...

Think I might swoop in for one, if I can sell my ak47.

Actually what I meant to ask is that, are all 3rd party stocks compatible with most models of A4s? Referring specifically to the CYMA Metal A4 here.

I had a look on a few sites but couldn't find you an answer.
I wouldn't assume they are all compatible. I found one UMP stock on Redwolf which is described as being for the TM MP5A4, not sure if that helps at all.

ASG make a very good mp5a5 for about €100. Got one myself. ASG dont have the best name and in fairness I wouldn't buy 90% of their guns myself but their mp5a5 is great. I've used it for a long time without a single problem.
