Triathlon / Swimming Issue

Can anyone tell me how to go about learning to tumble turn for pool swim training?

I've been swimming several years but still cannot tumble turn although I haven't made much of an effort in all honesty.

When I have tried, the rest of my body just will not follow my head and shoulders as I begin to do the tumble.

    Any advice appreciated.

+1 I tried a couple last night only to end up coming to a complete stop with nostrils full of water and it took a few more seconds to figure out which way was forward :o Very disorientating!

I only do this at the deep end, as I am worried that in the shallow end I may hit my head on the tiles. as you approach he wall put too hands out in front of you tuck your head into your belly button and simultaneously draw your hands back start your body to roll and hey presto. I am sure swimmers will have a more scientific and practical method but this one just about works for me.

What about all the water that goes up your nose?? Hate wearing nose plugs and blowing out is never that effective......

Could be way way of here , but can you exhale through your nose during the turn will keep the water out?

I can't do them either , but maybe i'll test this out tomorrow.
