New National Anthem

    Our new National Anthem.

I wonder how many people that were just above the break-even point where working paid barely more than claiming social welfare are now below that point with the new levies and impending tax changes? How many of them will simply not be able to continue to work and end up on benefit? I'm sure there must now be thousands in this position. It's going to cause an extra burden on the taxpayer. Has Biffo factored this into the sums he did on the back of his fag packet?

    thanks for that hagar.

In a weird way I much prefer recession Ireland to celtic tiger Ireland. Although I don't want to see people under severe stress from financial worries. I do feel that our society is nicer & people are nicer in recession times.

Haha. funny you should mention that. I was walking through town there a few days ago and a busker was playing this. Two things popped to mind:

    1. This guy's a cynical ****er
    2. We're ****ed.

Couldn't care less though. I managed to avoid that big pyrimid scheme... property boom through being just skint enough.
