Hi, I was just wondering. Do DCU have a rule of thumb as regards distance from DCU to the house of the applicant who applies for subsidised accomodation on campus? Or is it if you can commute, in less than say 2 hours, your not eligble.

    Please and thank you!:D

I don't honestly know... I actually didn't know there was subsidised accommodation... But in regards to the plain old normal accommodation, distance from the college / time of commute are not taken into account at all. If it's to do with the DCU Access service I believe they take most things on a case by case basis and would probably take many factors into account.

Hi, I was on the subsidised accomodation. I'm from cork , i think they take it into account but apply for both the access grant and the accomodation at least then if you didnt get the accomodation , you'd have grants to pay for it. It probably works out about the same.
