    People have been banging on about it for months, but tonight you get to judge the brand new series of MINDER for yourself.

    #bodycopy a { font-size: 12px; }
    It’s back on our screens after an absence of 15 years, with Shane Richie starring as the nephew of the legendary Arthur Daley.

    Joining him in the modern-day equivalent of Dennis Waterman’s old role is Lex Shrapnel as cabbie Jamie Cartwright.

    The pair first meet at the start of this opening episode, when Archie Daley leaps into the back of Jamie’s cab to try and escape a pair of heavies.

    Pretty soon, Archie is persuading the reluctant Jamie to become his permanent right-hand man, not least because he proves pretty useful when things turn violent.

    Starts tonight at 9pm on Five

    Thanks for the reminder, I knew it was starting in february, but I had forgotten all about it. :)

    As a Minder fan I'll have to watch it, but I really don't have any great expectations.

    Has got a very good write up so will give it a go, will be very hard to match the original though.

    You'd never be seen grassing to the plod in the good old days though.

    All very 2009 ratting out property developers meeting bent councilors at battersea power station.
