Take your pick from any of the above mentioned! There are loads of options.

I might add Zillertal valley, Alpbach, Niederau.

Great train service from Munich down into Austria.

    Hi

I'm just back from Mayrhofen in Austria and it's great - tons of runs, great apres ski and snowing every day so plenty of powder. Can easily get train to Innsbruck then Mayrhofen.

Some mates went to Alpbach at same time and loved it but the night life was quiet...

I'm going to Oberstdorf in 9 days. Flying to Munich, getting an S-bahn to the train station then a direct train to Oberstdorf.

    Hello !!!
Back now 2 weeks with my wife, it was great, ski'd the nebelhorn, fellhorn & sollereck, weather was great, this place gets better every year, 5hrs in the local sauna to get rid of the aches, have a great time.

Always good to hear. :) Just me and my girlfriend going this time. Where abouts is the sauna? And how much was it? I've been watching the webcams for ages now. Looks very good.

Personally I wouldn't rate Oberstdorf, there are plenty of bigger resorts on the Austria side of the alps. I live in Munich and I typically don't go to the German resorts, like Lengriss, Bayerisch Zell or Obersdorf , unless there is lots of snow.

I was at Wilder Kaiser last Tuesday and it was 6C !

    Hi ShayK1
The sauna is just 3mins walk from the church in the village. Its expensive enough about €15 each but thats for 4 hours, outdoor pool, loads of traditional sauna rooms, turkish baths, steamroom, jacuzzi etc. Oh and a pub:pac: and restaurant:confused:. You don't need a cozzie, just a large towel or robe & they supply them for if you need.
After a good day on the mountain, have a pint, have a swim happy days.

I couldn't remember how experienced you are but if you are still learning have a look on the Sollereck, its by far the best "learning mountain" a really long blue, its worth a look. The Nebelhorn is at the top of the village, just get one of the white town bus from outside the tourist info centre, and you know all about the Fellhorn. The same ski-pass covers all the bus's and mountains.
When its just the 2 of you its easier to explore, you could easily ski 2 mountains in 1 day.

    Have a great time

I'm fairly confident on my board, however my girlfriend is still learning. We might check out Sollereck this time so. Cheers! Sauna sounds good too :)

Went to Soll the first week of March. There were 5 of us so we got a private transfer from Munich airport.
It was pricey enough @ €215, but means you have a taxi waiting for you and go direct to your accommodation rather than with a bus transfer (which was only €8 cheaper) having to wait on another flight, or get to/from the train station at both ends.

Going back we got the same taxi, left 45 mins after the bus was supposed to pick up others at our appartment block, but they were still waiting. :D

Depends on budget, you could always try and get your accommodation to arrange a taxi to pick you up at the train station.

Oh - I think I was advised if we went by train not to use Worgl, that its quicker to use Kufstein. Will check that later tonight & confirm.
