    Hi,

    I won't say much, but the following points come to mind:

    1) Public sector workers (including those in Local Authorities) are facing massive pension levies while many TDs enjoy multiple pensions;

    2) Most of the people (bankers, bank economists etc) who contributed greatly to the mess we're in, are still in their cushy jobs - and those who have left got nice golden handshakes on top of the multiple pensions they retain;

    3) When the banks are re-capitalised, many land speculators will enjoy partial relief on their debts at the expense of the taxpayer (or pension fund) - what about ordinary people who are paying excessively high mortgages?;

    4) IBEC are happy - I wonder why??? :rolleyes::mad:.

    Anyone who I've spoken to understand the enormity of the current situation, but are extremely unhappy with the manner in which it's being handled.

    Can anyone add to this?

    if we did chase down the multiple pensions of TD's (which we should do)

    and

    we fired all the irresponsible bankers

    and

    we jailed all the irresponsible land speculators

    ...

    We would still have to reduce the amount paid to public sector workers.

    So what you are looking for is probaly a tribunal .. unfortunately it's probably the last thing we can afford.

    These sorts of threads are better suited to the Politics forum. Thanks.
