....its something I was wondering about. Somebody told me that have a small % in the company. I was always wondering how Sky Sports managed to lose the US PGA Tour rights to Setanta ? Sky have the money to pay for the rights - but then Setanta got the rights but , very oddly , less the major tournaments like the USPGA , US OPEN , Ryder Cup and the WGC Tournaments - and then a number of Sky Sports Golf staff move over to the new channel.

I think it was just a sly way to make more money for Sky.

Also , Sky have just won 4 out of the 6 packages for the new Permier League games - they can also bid for one of the final 2 packages remaining - but something makes me think that Setanta will get both !!

Sky don't have a stake. Virgin Media do have a stake in Setanta Sports news. There is a business connection with Sky, in that, afaik, Sky sells Setanta's sports package, as part of their own sports pack to commercial premises likes pubs.
