retrofit front armrest on e46 coupe

    Hi,

    does anyone know anywhere i can retrofit a front arm rest in a 3 series coupe? Its looking alittle bare up front and i like the comfort on long drives, so wouldnt mind getting one fitted if i could

    If it has mounting points on the driver's seat then you could source one from a breakers. If not then you're looking at finding a whole new seat with armrest

    oh right, i thought it would be a case of replacing the rear ashtray and mounting it there or something...

    Its mounted from the centre console, not the drivers seat. A breakers should have one or else ebay etc. Just dont get a non original one. They just dont fit right usually

    These can be expensive at a main dealers, I priced one a few years ago for an E36 and it was coming in around €400. Got one from a breaker for €80 in perfect condition.

    These are easy enough to fit but just make sure to get all the bits and clips when you get the arm rest and console, eg,ashtrays can be a little different .

    I put one in mine. If memory serves, the retrofit kit was about €150 - €200. Ring a dealer with your chassis number and they'll price the exact kit you need.

    Here's what you need:

    If you're any way comfortable with basic tools you'll struggle to take more than an hour to fit it.
