Would anyone be able to recommend where one could buy a Powerbook (1ghz G4) compatable WIFI card? USB or PCICMA I guess.

Thanks in advance for any tips.

Hi Eric. Thanks for the reply.

Howdy ! Haven't seen you about in a while Womama ! The 1Ghz G4s took the airport extreme card. Unfortunately the card is not the same as the one that went into the PowerMac. It has a ribbon coming from the edge connector. They're hard to get old of. My Powerbook has a PCMCIA slot at the side.

There are a few cards that will work in it and that are supported by Leopard. Here's a link to one particular one. Other options here.

    Hope this helps.

    Hey. Cheers.

The Powerbook here has a PCMCIA card slot too, but I dont know exactly what else to look for to identify it. It's running Panther.

Anyway I might just order one from those guys. Looks promising.

    Thanks again.

Just wondering. What about a USB wireless adapter?

They have them in The Laptop Shop in Omni Park for about 35 quid.

Anyone know if that would be mac compatable?
