    Hi. Have to spend a few days in KL as of Friday. I've been there before but does anyone have any tips on what to do apart from the bloody Beach Club Cafe, shopping at the KLCC and the Petronas Towers? Are there any day trips to nice places in the area? Thanks.

    Check out the Batu Caves on Sunday or Monday, its Thaipusam this Monday. Definitely a unique experience, do a seach online to find out more about it. Other than that can recommend Changkat Bukit Bintang for a few beers, lots of nice places to eat and drink and plenty of expats around to get chatting to.

    The UNESCO World Heritage town of Malacca is one or two hours outside KL and well worth the visit and can be done as a day trip. Or you could go gambling in Malaysia's answer to Vegas in Genting Highlands

    I think here are some 'rain forest' tours in a small patch of jungle just outside the ciy....if your into that...
