Anyone know what the deal is with the cafe under the library? I don't head down too often but it seems to be shut these days when i do!

that place is the weirdest cafe earlier. Cheap enough for a wrap or whatever but everything else is a rip off. And the coke tastes really really weird.

That would be the same break -- as far as I know -- most people are currently on this week. As per the 2008/2009 academic calendar: "INTER - SEMESTER BREAK Mon 2 Feb - Fri 6 Feb."

The library cafe is actually a life-saver for me.
I live on the opposite side of the city so it usually feeds me.
Nowhere else except the Zest cafe opens as late.
And I am partial to their chicken pie. Granted a lot of it is overpriced but still it provides a valuable service.
The fact that it doesn't do starbucks coffee also pleases me.

It staying open late is the only reason I go there. The service is really bad too

What? No it's not it's grand their paninis are like a fiver and you get some salady stuff with it. It's expensive but it's no different than everywhere else

In a lot of cafés they would be a similar price.
I paid 3.50 for a muffin in the café in the botanic gardens a few weeks ago.
