    Hi,

After 4 years of wearing braces, I may be getting them off after my next visit in March.

However, I have an issue: my front two teeth aren't straight !!

Is there some cases where front teeth cannot be straightened ?

Or can a retainer be used to straighten them ?

You need to make your orthodontist aware of any issues you may have before the braces come off.

In some cases the front teeth have been worn down from grinding or a bad bite. This means after they have been straightened the incisal edges may look uneven. It is the orthodontists job to make sure the level of the gums line up.
If this is the case you will be sent to your dentist for bonding/veneer/crown etc.
In some other case it can be difficult to keep spaces closed between your front teeth (don't think this is your problem though, just thought I would mention it)
In some other cases if you only get the top arch braced up and not the top and bottom it maybe hard to get all the teeth straightened and spaces closed.

In some cases a retainer can be used to straighten them, but is easier while you have braces.
