    My 3 friends are trustees for their sister who is special needs , one of them opened a joint credit union account with her without the other 2 knowing , she gets a full contributory pension and puts 200 euro in the account she can barely sign her name and would not understand the way things work she does not know how old she is unless someone tells her would that stand up in court if challenged i wonder, she is afraid oft he sister who is not a very nice person.

    Depends on what the sister intended the money for - possible for the long term care for her own sister?

    There would be serious legal implications if she is intending on withdrawing from the account using the SN sisters investment. Check with the Citizens Advice Bureau
