i hate to say it, but a lot of law students are those who failed to get into medicine, and medical students are usually borne out of a desire to do the best course not because they actually want to be doctors.

but what is better to do?

i'd love to know where you get your information from in all your threads cos i'm in my final year of a law degree and can safely say that i nor the 80% of the others that i know neveer had any interest in studying medicine.... prestige... cmon... people have a lot more integrity and motivation than what you seem to give them credit for... maybe thats your scenario.
