Has anyone completed the CAT accounting technician exams? Did this qualification open up many opportunities, would you reccommend it, and was wondering how easy/difficult it is to get the one years practical experience need to fully qualify?? I have over 7 months experience in a practice doing CAP1 but if I was to attempt ot get out of my training contract I could not bring this experience with me so I would be starting from scratch.

I got my first job in accounts even before I was doing my first accounting technician exams. From my opinion it is worth. I finished 2 year course and 1 year practical experience in same time. And salary jumped up by about 10K during these 2 years. 2 years is enough time to get 1 year practical experience. And along with that there will be much more opportunities open for you :)
