    Hi folks.

I recently purchased a 2007 Ford Focus Zetec. It has 32000 miles.
I have noticed a problem with the handbrake. To get it to hold on a slope, you have to pull the handbrake really hard. Does anybody know what the problem might be?
    Thanks.

could be poorly adjusted - or you might have only one side working.

    +1 on the above.

I find my dads Focus handbrake I find not great even when the garage says its properly adjusted. Just give it a good tug:D

Yeah, I've heard of a few problems. My 05 reg also had this problem. The mechanic couldn't find anything wrong with it when it went for service though.

Same in my 2005 focus. Its been like that from new, I think its just the way they are rather than there being a problem.

    Thanks guys for the replies.
I might just get it checked out at the garage just to be sure.
