Unemployment rate for the homeless

I'm wondering if anyone knows whether persons with 'no fixed abode' or who are residing in hostels can claim unemployment benefit or assistance for the full amount?

I've been told by one person that only 60 euros or less is given to those living i temporary accomodation without addresses but it doesn't make sense to me. It seems a little cruel.

    Thanks all.

Yeah, but they won't be eligible for rent allowance either!

Seriously dude ... you think being homeless is cheaper than having a home. Yeah, right.

Everyone who wants to claim has to have an address. This can be a hostel etc, so long as they'll give you a letter saying you live there, or you can show some (official) mail that was sent there. After that, surely it doesn't matter: even if you're living in a hostel, it still costs as much or more than some flats.

Thanks justmary for the details but I never said I thought it was cheaper! I was simply trying to find out one more bit of information. I've never come across a topic so filled with gossip and misinformation than social welfare!
