I dont understand why Australia would leave one of the best all rounders in the game out of this crucial series against South Africa. I would rate him just behind Kallis and Flintoff in terms of all rounders - He scores crucial runs as he showed in the West Indies last year and really lengthens the Australian batting line-up.

The alternatives, Shane Watson, Ashley Noffke and Andrew McDonald are no-where near as prolific as Symonds.

I understand that he has had issues with the management but the McCullum comment was made on a show that would be the equivalent to the Strawberry Alarm clock in Ireland, ie, a complete joke.

The Australian board need to field their best team in preparation for the SA series and the Ashes, not eject them back to the SS fold.

The man likes to fish and have a few beers. As long as he's scoring runs, leave him be Sutherland.

I would have him far ahead of Flintoff....
The current Flintoff of the last few years is ****e with the bat and injury prone.

He has been the only real effective pace Bowler fr England though

Great player but he is damaging Aussie and his own reputation with his attitude. I think he is being rested for Ashes as he had an injury in the last series with SA so he is 100% fit for England
