I have this interview looming.. amongst the details it says Analog circuit design, what should I prepare for this, its such a huge (and scary) field...

they company do automotive, so fields like embedded applications, simulation and test, pspice, labview are all mandatory.

I think its not such a senior role (I hope) as they have seen my cv and know I have limited experience since i graduated.

    cheers.

For this I would look at PSU design, as almost all automotive electronics will have a 12V -> 5 or 3.3V supply. This supply will need over voltage & reverse voltage protection.

I would then brush up on op amps and typical configuration. Have a look at filtering & how you would get these signals into a micro controller.

Then look at smart FETs & coil drivers, these are every where.

Then finally look at CAN & LIN, as these are used widely now in automotive. Have a bit of an idea what they are from a signaling & hardware point of view.

Also as its automotive, its very cost sensitive so do some thinking about that. Also google / read up on DFMEA as this is used widely during design.
