Where to buy an iMac

    Hi ,

Think this is posting in the appropriate forum, if not apologies.

Looking for info from you experts on following two questions.

After working on a pc for years think it's time to make the move to Apple after hearing so many people give it a good report. Not a gamer just want it for everyday internet usage, downloading photos, small projects (typing reports & letters) with view to it handling the requirements of a small business at some point in future if the economy here ever picks up. Is this a good reason to make the switch and incur the additional cost of an iMac or should we stick with a pc. Like the look and style of the iMac and heard that once you make the switch we'll love it.

Where to buy is the other biggie. Apple store in Belfast shows same iMac I'm looking at for almost 350 Euro cheaper. Def worth trip there. Any other ideas or suggestions on where to go?

    Thanks.:)

    Go for it!

I just changed from PC to Mac after Christmas and it's so much better!

I bought mine at the spectra shop at the bottom of Grafton Street for 1500 euro. I know I could have got it cheaper but I like the idea of being able to just drop in if anything goes wrong.

They had a deal going at the time where the Word/ Excel. powerpoint soft ware was 100 euro cheaper than I could have got on the web.

I have the aluminium macBook and I love it. It's so easy to carry around. I also find the mac is very user-friendly for the technically challenged like me......it just seems to do everything I want it to do...effortlessly!

The fact that there are virtually no worries re viruses is a huge plus.....

Disadvantages - getting used to mouse pad (lack of left/ right click functions) and the @ key is above the 2 on the keyboard!!! But after four weeks I hardly notice that now....

Apparently PC World sell 'em too though the after-service is atrocious.

    3G stores also sell Mac's.

All the best with it. :)
