can i get money this way? help needed really bad

    im signing since sept ,im living in a apt with my brother and my girlfriend and my dole got stopped cause she was living with me and she is working

    got a letter today and i am entitled to nothing..my payments have been stopped.my girlfriend earns 408 a week.and the limit on the social welfare is 328 so that means i get nothing.was up there explaining everything that i have rent tomorrow and they didnt care.so im left with no money now... i got an appeal form which i will bring in tomorrow and im going to appeal it..but in the mean time im up **** creek.i have no money for rent,food,bills....what can i do in the mean time.can i ask the clinic or health service for money?

    anyone?? was wondering would the health board be a good idea to get money from them or would it be a no go area

    The only thing I can think of is your Community Welfare Officer, but I have no idea what you would apply for or what your chances of success are. Best ring them to have a chat, see if you need an appointment etc.

    If you are paying rent independently of your gf, should you not be treated and claim as a single person?

    i got this off the SW appeals office today

    You should apply to your local Community Welfare Officer for
    Supplementary Welfare Allowance pending your appeal. Please note
    however that Supplementary Welfare Allowance is a means tested
    payment.

    bad news i cant get anything from the health board..its a bloody disgrace..just cause my girlfriend is working i get cut off.and the payslip i gave up is not her net income she has her own loans to pay off so she can only provide for herself at the end of the month.surely i can do something about this.i may have to move back home and sign at home.

    If your parents are earning then you will end up in the same dilema.

    no there not at all mate.so i should be ok.its crazy i moved to dublin to start a new life now i have to go back home which i dont want to.

    No, you just have to live independently from your girlfriend.

    Seriously, if you're gonna live like a married couple, then you're going to be treated like one. If you don't want to be treated like one, then don't behave like one.
