WIRELESS MODEM PROBLEMS someone please help!!!

ok heres the deal, i have read every last thread on this site on how to set it up so im not just lazy!

Ive bought a wireless modem from 3 , called Huawei E160G. its the prepay option. i have it set up on my laptop, and an ethernet cable running from the laptop to the PS3.

I have also tried to enable the ICS ( internet connection sharing ) BUT after following all the instructions, when i do this

Network connections > rigt click > properties > advanced

i do not get the option of allowing ICS

Any help would be deeply appriecated

Are you using windows xp or vista? Can you take a screencap of the properties box where internet connection sharing should be?

im using xp dont know how to take a screen cap. but the only option im getting is for the firewall

ya can only enable ics if ya have more than one connection under network,
set up aother connection and it should work

to take a screen cap press the print scrn key on your keyboard and paste into ms paint or something simare cut out the bit you want and savev as a jpeg.

Getting these wireless modems to work like this can be tricky, but its possible.

op i doubt it will be much use to u anyway to get the ps3 online, ya would prob have a massive ping and low speeds

thats not even workin mate, im not really bothered bout lag or nethin im just really bored and sufferin withdrawl symptoms!! its drivin me mad trying to get it sorted.

i shud have the option of ICS but i dnt just firewall settings

ics wont show up unless ya have 2 or more network connections, search microsoft support for ics,
afaik if ya have a ping higher than 110 ya cant stay signed in to psn

how do i setup the ther connection?

when ya go to network connections ya should see an option to set up new connection or manage connection

sorry i can remember how to do it on xp but its failry similiar to vista, search microsoft support for ics setup, its easy enough
