Router settings (ports) for skype on WLAN

I have skype on a PC which works and sees who is offline etc. without any ports opened on my router. I tried calling a version of skype on my mobile via fring and I keep getting a busy signal on skype. (PC to mobile call). I tried turning my firewall off on the router and still it will not work. This should mean that the router is not an issue but I am not convinced. Do I need to open specific ports on my router to allow skype/fring communicate correctly. I tried port 80 as UDP and TCP. Port 443 could not be opened as the router says it is shared for HTTPS. There is a random? number port number generated by skype on my PC. I opened this as a UDP port but the problem remains.

The question: If I want to use skype via my WLAN either for PC version or mobile version, what spexific ports and protocols do I need to open on my router.

I have googled and checked skype and fring forums and the info is sketchy at best.

    Any help appreciated

I don't think this is a ports issue - usually the problem with Skype is trying to stop it getting through rather than it not. Did you try a test call to the skype echo service (echo123)? How exactly are you using Skype on your mobile - over 3G or WLAN?

I was beginning to wonder if anyone used this forum. When I turn on fring on the mobile it connects to the service and after a minute or so it brings up the skype echo123 service. Skype remains offline until I call the echo123 service. I called this and it works, with good sound. But although the icon is green, I am listed as busy if anyone tries to call. I am connecting via WLAN and not via 3G on an eircom router. I disabled the firewall on the router as a test and it was still the same. So I thought it can't be ports but I am not convinced.

I opened the specific port listed for the PC version for UDP and figured that fring used something similar. Even without the TCP port open on the router for skype on my PC, I get calls in on the PC and my online status is viewable by other users.
