Scumbags' plans ruined.

They say that rain keeps the scum off the streets, but snow has the opposite effect.

I decided to get the bus out of the city centre today. A group of scumbags got on around 4 stops later. I had a hunch that something was going to kick off so I remained silent but vigilant in my seat. Around 5 minutes later the scum revealed they had smuggled snowballs onto the bus. Soon enough, the scum were throwing snowballs all around the bus. Within seconds I was on my feet and ran down to the bus driver and informed him of what was happening upstairs. The driver stopped the bus and went upstairs. He confronted the scum and removed them from the bus. The terror-stricken passengers breathed a collective sigh of relief as I thwarted yet another scumbag plan to disrupt the peace.

They say that rain keeps the scum off the streets, but snow has the opposite effect.

They were on the bus so, no it doesn't.
I decided to get the bus out of the city centre today.

    What city would this be?
A group of scumbags got on around 4 stops later. I had a hunch that something was going to kick off so I remained silent but vigilant in my seat.

Not true, you didn't become vigilant until you stood up off your seat and ran crying down to the busdriver.
Around 5 minutes later the scum revealed they had smuggled snowballs onto the bus.

Would they not have melted in that time?
Soon enough, the scum were throwing snowballs all around the bus.

    The bastards.
Within seconds I was on my feet and ran down to the bus driver and informed him of what was happening upstairs.

How many seconds? Surely a real vigilante would have responded within one second? Where did you learn ninjitsu from? A tortoise?
The driver stopped the bus and went upstairs. He confronted the scum and removed them from the bus. The terror-stricken passengers breathed a collective sigh of relief as I thwarted yet another scumbag plan to disrupt the peace.

Not really. Throwing a snowball takes a second. Even if they had somehow smuggled 10 or so snowballs each that lasted five minutes in their warm clothing without melting, the whole thing would probably have been over by the time it would've taken you to confront the driver, never mind the time it would have taken the driver to stop and go upstairs to maul these feral animals.

Hey! Look over there! Some kids are building a snowman! Let's get 'em!

    Fair play to the OP.

I presume the majority of people would have just sat there hoping it didnt effect them till their stop and just got off as the scumbags tormented the other people on the bus.

A lot of people want to believe that it was no big deal because they wouldnt want to do anything about. Thats why there's scumbags because very few people want to confront them.

As for people calling him a rat, grow up, you watch too much Sopranos.

    +1. Rat. :pac:

    Stay off those school buses.

    Edit:

go anywhere in the city centre and you'll see that!

Your tale was vaguely plausible until you said that the driver left the safety of his little protective box and put himself at risk by intervening on behalf of the fare paying passengers. That's where it all fell apart. I mean who would believe that?

well done citizen. I'll Badge it! a badge for you now and because you're so special, I will use one of the rectangular badges instead of the run-of-the-mill circle ones.

Fellow Boardsies I have a confession.

I have reason to believe I was in school with The Citizen

I am 100% sure he is the same bloke who grassed me up in senior infants for copying in a sums test.
