Aer Lingus Taxes Fees Charges?

Booked a return flight to London last week. Each leg of the journey cost €3.99. The booking fee was a tenner and the taxes and charges were €66 so a total of €84. So I looked at the same flight today. The fare has gone down to €0.00 each way which is fair enough but the taxes etc have dropped to €37. Can they just make up the extras on a flight as they go along or am I missing something?

Yeah it looks like they can get away with what they like, and there is absolutely no consistency in their pricing..
I booked flights today, and they were a good bit more expensive on Friday..

You must pay applicable taxes, fees and charges imposed by government or other authority, or by the operator of an airport

The Aer lingus website gives this as an explanation on the taxes and charges. I take it to mean charges outside their control? So have I been overcharged?

Perhaps they are subsidising the taxes now in a subsequent sale. Airline do this from time to time.
