    Hi all,

Am going to New York in a few weeks and we were going to pick up our wedding rings there, any suggestions of where to go and to get the best deals?

Check out the Diamond District, loads of bargains to be had so haggle, haggle and haggle some more :D

Tiffany and De Beers are also on Fifth Ave.

    Hi,

Not sure if you have already gone but here is a list of a few good jewellery shops

Bulgari on 5th Ave at 57th St

Cartier 2 East 52nd St at 5th Ave

Diamond District as mentioned is great and of course Tiffany's!

    Enjoy!!

make sure you do plenty of research before you go regarding what type of diamond you want and in what type of setting on the ring itself - google "the 4 c's" and you'll find lots of stuff - you can only haggle when armed with this information, as 2 diamonds can look the same to the untrained eye but be worth thousands more/less than each other just due to cut, clarity etc. If you go with a good idea of what you want there are definitely great deals to be had compared to over here. I bought off these guys about 14 months ago and was very happy with the service they offered - http://www.zolands.com/home/engagementrings.html . Would recommend having a look around the diamond exchanges first and handle a few diamonds, get prices and practice your haggling(!) then go to more reputable places to get down to the nitty gritty of purchasing.
