NTL stations are not matching windows media.

Hi ,having some trouble since ntl upgraded our area. The stations are not what microsoft has in it's program guide.
I've retuned the tv's in the house to the new places ,but windows media is using a different order:(
Anything I can do about this ?

Do you mean the stations are showing different programs, or a different order in the EPG ???

Number 1 and 2 show program information on the station guide ,but they are not tuned (no picture at all)
from 3 to about 10 they are tuned correctly.then theres another couple that have program info ,but no picture:(
I tried choosing different provider for the tuning ,but it only makes things worse.

If the MCE Guide is out synch you can ask for an update at the greenbutton.You can also search around to see if anyone has reported a similar issue.

Thanks eddie ,at least I'm not the only one.
It happened when ntl changed over to the new cable they installed.
Microsoft must not know anything about it yet.

You might want to jump on that thread or start your own on TGB and see where you get. EPG's not being updated is a constant issue from what I can see.

I tried for months to get them to update Sky Ireland, but in the end gave up, as I could not provide them a 100% accurate website with the Irish Sky Listing, and between that, and the slowness of getting the EPG updated, everytime it happened, Sky had made another change to the EPG, and we needed to start again. I kept faith for a while, but in the end gave up.

I will have to do something about it ,just by chance I was using the recording pc tonight . And windows tells me theres no signal on the channel it's recording:(

I work with a company that builds and installs HTPC's and I can tell you that Microsoft actually uses a 3rd party for updating their WMC guide. We are constantly trying to get Microsoft to push through guide updates as providers like SKY,Magnet, and UPC/NTL are constantly changing their line ups.
This is always a headache for us as our clients set their systems to record and the listings are almost always need to be adjusted through the settings menu. Finally, not all stations pay for their station listing/details to be in WMC. So for instance you may see the station listing in SKY for the Disney channel but not in WMC cause they don't pay to have it listed with Microsoft. Crazy huh?

Yeah, I know they use 3rd parties, what baffles me is why they pay/use them if they don't do their job ?
