DS lite - Worth repairing?

A DS about 2.5 - 3 yrs old now, has a few probs at this stage - the most akward one being the touch screen needs replacing. But have noticed when loading games, you don't get the option screen anymore (pictochat or download games, Clock and date screens missing as well). It just loads straight into games, in one way handy but its not supposed to be like this.

Can anyone advise, if its still worth it to send it off for repairs? I have a second one that HAS to go for repairs, as the cartridge slot needs replacing, but not sure if I should send the first one mentioned............

    Thanks.

If you take the game out does it load into the main menu screen?

If you want to get in touch with me i can give you a price for the repairs on both of them.

Isn't there an option where you can decide what you want upon powering up., the various menus or the game, do you have the game option selected ?

Yep, doesnt sound broken to me, just a matter of changing your options. Def not something that needs repair.

Yes it loads then, but because the touch screen is broken, the settings can't be changed (don't know which buttons to use either...), but thats good to know it isn't going to cost more than the touch screen replacement....
    Cheers.
