Vrt Question

    Hi everybody i need a bit of advice .im looking to bring a nice motor down from the north. I have my eyes on a bmw 520(2005) or a bmw320(2005) does anybody have a rough idea how much the vrt will be.. im just looking for some advice as this is my first time buying a car up north..

    Also, it's *very* important to remember that the figure given by that calculator is based on the standard spec of that UK model with no optional extras. If you're bringing in a relatively new car they may do an individual calculation based on the exact spec of your car. I'm not sure how likely they are to do this for an 2005 car - someone else should be able to comment.

    i just checked there and its giving me 1900 euro for the vrt on the 520 so if thats the case the car is costing 9000 ex vrt so ill be saving about 5 grand :eek:

    They'll charge for extras on cars up to 5 years old - after that they're not really concerned with it.
