sorry but I think your wrong, Cooper is just an attention seeker and a doom and gloom merchant

... with more personality in his little finger than Pat. I'd give him a chance.

I thought this was an announcement... shame!

Matt Cooper is a joke. Loves the sound of his own voice more than anything else. Does not encourage open and frank discussion instead foisting his opinion on others and deriding those who dont share his stance.

Don't matter who presents it. It's the guests. And the agenda. Chatshow is dead in this country. Good riddance.

Anyone would be better than Pat Kenny!

I guess it would be good to see a new presenter on RTE!

But he can't even say the word "Saturday" (saahurdaaay) how can he host a Saturday night show!?
He doesn't have the charisma to pull off a show that big (not that The Plank does, but why make things even worse?)

The problem with The Late Late Show is that is is neither one thing nor another. It tries to be both serious and light. It cannot do both.

Hmmm......Bosco might be good. He'd be an improvement anyway.
Come to think of it Gandhi would even be an improvement even though he's dead.

He might stink out the studio though :p.

He would be done rotting by now. He died in 1948.

Actually he was cremated and his ashes scattered. So he would be unavailable.

To be more precise Pat Kenny cannot do both. The Late Late was actually famous for doing both serious and light very well for donkey's years under Gay Byrne. Pat can do serious but can't do light to save his life. His knowledge of popular culture and sport seems almost non-existant. Sometimes I get the impression that he's never been to a football match, a gig or the cinema in his life.
