    Evening

I have an opp to buy an MRS (new version of the MR2) with about 60,000 miles, full service history for approx € 4500-would plan to drive the car for a year and sell it on- Just wondering if people think car is worth it, are they reliable or any experiences with them
Specs look good, 0-60 in 7.7 secs and 38 mpg but would seriously question the mpg

    any thoughts?

watch out for pre-cat failure (pre-catilixc convertor)
and o-rings? . on the 1.8 vvit. Which can mean new engine or total rebuild. lots of black oil smoke. Can happen around the 60k and happened to us (jap import). The car was totally reliable otherwise
Stick to the 15" OEM alloys as the ride is very poor on anything bigger,

The car can and does delivery 38mpg as it is very light, and is a total blast, almost a match for the mx-5. Think of it as a cut price Boxter.

Last but not least u must be a girl to drive this machine. I always sat in the passangers seat (lookin good mind you)

that car will always be worth 3or 4k i would have thought, i agree with frag though. it is a girls car. the previous models are my favourite, frag is right about the engines giving trouble. ive seen it a good few times

If it's an MR-S then it's a jap import. They were sold as MR2's in UK and Irl. OEM wheels over here were the same 16" ones as were on the Celica, which are known for corroding.

I always thought it funny that Toyota were well enough aware of this to put a "Missus" badge on the back of it.

Do they make a Ms for the single girl?

    ;)btw
